How Does It Work?

Indy At Home Fitness brings personal training and fitness transformation into the homes of those who are ready to make a change in their health, and improve the quality of their lives. With our concierge approach to coaching and guidance, every step of the process is tailored to your body, your goals, and your experience level.

There is no equipment for your to buy, no long-term contracts, and no pressures of a traditional “big box” gym. We bring the gym right into your home, so that excuses become a thing of the past.


Q: How do you create a program that is tailored to my current fitness level?

A: All first-time clients will walkthrough a preliminary fitness assessment to determine their current areas of strength/weakness, areas of concern, and baseline skill level. This helps you and your trainer co-author a plan that makes sense for you and your goals.

Q: Is the program for men? Women? Certain ages?

A: Training is tailored for both men and women, and anyone over the age of 16 years old.

Q: What space requirements do I need in my home?

A: At a minimum you should have around a 12 x 12 foot area that is free from furniture, fixtures, etc. Outdoor space or garages can also work fine (weather permitting). Please prepare as much as possible ahead of time to create a clean and safe space for us to train together. It is your home and you should feel safe knowing you won’t damage anything or injure yourself while exercising.

Q: What kind of equipment will be used during the session?

A: Typically, free weights, exercise balls, elastic bands, foam rollers, etc. “Circuit  Training” with these tools (with an emphasis on strength training) is effective in a home setting.

Q: How is this kind of training different than a personal trainer at a traditional “big box” gym?

A: In-home training offers a level of calm and focus typically not found in a crowded gym setting. Additionally, most corporate gyms have their trainers adhere to pre-ordained exercises and structures (we’ve all seen the notebooks they carry around). While this may work for some, many find it too structured to tap into their true fitness potential. Another problem with a large gym is when clients are self-conscious, or intimidated by other gym goers. While there’s no reason to be, any natural feelings of self-doubt or distractions are obviously a huge impediment to your goals! You can feel safe in your home and comfortable knowing your trainer is there entirely for your support and encouragement.

Q: Can I bring a friend? Can we train in pairs?

A: Yes! Please contact us directly ahead of time for special pricing and instructions for booking a two-person session, or any other unique requirements you might have.

Q: What kind of on-going support will I receive as a client? How can I stay on track in between in-home appointments?

A: All on-going clients are entitled to 24/7 email and text support to help keep you on track, answer questions, and encourage you to move closer to your goals!

Q: Is my satisfaction guaranteed?

A: Yes! If you finish your session and don’t feel as though you’ve received your money’s worth then please don’t hesitate to ask and we will happily refund your session. It is our sincere hope that even a single session leaves your physically challenged and mentally stronger than beforehand, armed with new information and techniques to keep progressing forward toward your goals.

Q: What location requirements are there for the service?

A: Clients should be within 15 miles of Indianapolis’ Northside suburbs. Typically areas we service for personal training include: Carmel personal training, Fishers personal training, Noblesville personal training and Broad Ripple personal training. A surcharge (and advanced scheduling) will apply for any clients located outside that radius.
